Sharm Gusto is the first Italian editorial magazine dedicated to Italian cuisine in Sharm El Sheikh
It was born in 2026 from the idea of Alessandro Caporale, an Italian restaurateur with over twenty years of experience in the sector — he founded and still runs three restaurants in the Milan area and now brings his craft also to the Red Sea. The goal is simple: to tell honestly, independently and informedly the story of Italian restaurants in this Red Sea city.
Why Sharm Gusto
Over 200,000 Italian tourists arrive in Sharm El Sheikh every year. A community of more than a thousand Italians stably resides here — restaurateurs, diving instructors, tour guides, professionals, mixed Italian-Egyptian families. Yet, until today, there has been no editorial presence in Italian dedicated to chronicling local Italian gastronomy.
Online reviews about Sharm are often anonymous, sometimes fake, rarely reliable. Taxi driver advice is commercial. Generic tourist guides treat gastronomy as a marginal entry. Sharm Gusto was born to fill this void.

Who writes
The magazine is directed by Alessandro Caporale, an Italian restaurateur in Sharm since 2005. The editorial staff includes Italian collaborators residing in Sharm with experience in restaurants, tourism and journalism.
Our independence
Sharm Gusto is independent. We do not accept payments for positive reviews. When a restaurant is a client of Marketing Food Agency (the publishing company of the magazine), this relationship is always declared at the foot of the article, and the review is entrusted to an editor different from the one managing the commercial relationship.
